Jesus stills the storm

1. The dancing bright sunbeams are causing
the waters to sparkle and shine.
The ocean`s as calm as a mirror,
and life is so blessed and fine.

2. When all things around us are peaceful,
and nothing’s obstructing our way,
then we can give thanks to our Father
for keeping us safe day by day.

3. Then days come when dark clouds are looming.
The nights are now starless and long.
The thundering billows are mighty,
and faith is no more quite so strong.

4. We witness so blithely on good days
and worship our dear Saviour`s name.
But anxious hearts, troubled and worried…
can they still His glory proclaim?

5. When Jesus` disciples were frightened
by storms, which arose on the sea,
they only saw waves high and threatening,
engulfing them on Galilee.

6. But He who has power over nature
brought calm to each terrified face.
Today He still stays close beside us
and grants us a safe hiding place.
